在十月十號當天，麗茲考博蘭 (Liz Copeland) 跟哈利史坦 (Harry Stein) 在維吉尼亞州的亞歷山卓城魚雷工廠藝術中心舉辦了他們的婚禮。

這對情侶、拉比 (猶太人對於老師的敬稱)、婚禮策劃人、攝影師、雙方父母跟祖父母、還有所有的伴郎伴娘都搭上了同一部到婚禮現場的電梯。

The couple, rabbi, wedding planner, photographers, parents of the bride and groom, grandparents, and all bridesmaids and groomsmen filed into an elevator en route to the ceremony, which was to continue in the park across the street.

但接下來意想不到的事發生了 — 電梯突然靜止不動了。

雖然大部份的人遇到這種情況都會抓狂，可是他們卻利用這個機會開始玩起了獨一無二的自拍。

其中一個叫做蕾貝卡法蘭克的伴娘表示：「攝影師幫新郎新娘跟他們的家人拍了很多超美的婚紗照。他們在照片裡看起來很自然又很放鬆。

我不知道他們怎麼辦到的！」

"The photographers got a bunch of amazing shots of the bride and groom and family looking totally calm and relaxed, which they were," said Rebecca Frank, a bridesmaid at the wedding. "I don't know how they kept composure!"

電梯故障了25分鐘，可是大家都玩得很開心而且紛紛用了標籤#copestein 來紀念這段回憶。

The elevator was stuck for about 25 minutes total, but everyone just had fun and contributed their own memories using the hashtag #copestein.

消防隊最後終於趕來把大家救出電梯並照下了幾張與眾不同的照片。

Eventually, the fire department arrived and lifted everyone out, making for some truly unique photos.

法蘭克說：「這件事完全沒有對這場美麗、感人、甜蜜又好玩的婚禮造成任何影響。」

"You can see that this did NOT get in the way of a beautiful, emotional, sweet, and FUN wedding," Frank told BuzzFeed.
